Bengaluru, September 02, 2026: Simple Energy, a homegrown automotive company built on in-house R&D and first-principles engineering, today announced the launch of the Simple Wave, marking its entry into India’s family scooter segment. Designed around the way Indian families use their scooters every day, the Simple Wave brings together practicality, technology and comfort in a six-model lineup (3 variants), with up to 243 km IDC range. The scooter offers a class-leading storage space of up to 70 litres. This comprises the Pill, a first-of-its-kind auxiliary storage compartment with a capacity of 4 litres, an industry-leading under-seat compartment with a capacity of up to 63 litres, and a convenient 3-litre glove box, making it well-suited to the needs of Indian families.
The new lineup includes Simple Wave S, Simple Wave and Simple Wave +, further offering 5 models under this lineup. The diverse portfolio allows customers to choose between different battery capacities, display technologies and connected features based on their riding requirements. Leading the range is the Simple Wave +, powered by a 5 kWh battery pack that delivers an IDC range of 243 km and a top speed of 90 km/h. The scooter is equipped with a 6.4 kW PMSM motor, producing 179 Nm wheel torque. The lineup is also offered with 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh, and 2.2 kWh battery configurations, delivering ranges of up to 171 km and 110 km (IDC), respectively. All variants feature multiple riding modes including Ride, Eco and ECOX, while higher variants additionally receive Sport mode for enhanced performance.
